   ***ATTENTION***

   Please be aware. I received this product in non-working condition. I did read a review previously on this, but did not take it to heart. Hindsight being 20/20, maybe I should have. I would not recommend this product. Spend the extra $15.00 per stick for a nationally branded product. I have returned this to the seller. I am waiting on my refund as of 3/29/09. Hopefully this information is useful to someone out there. Best of luck.

   Every review I read said this didn’t work in Dell laptops, well you can add Toshiba laptops to the list as well. Even though the specs are identical, PC100, 144 pin, SODIMM, unbuffered, non ECC, etc. I snapped it in and booted and Windows wouldnt boot. Pulled it out and the laptop ran fine. Was trying to save the customer some money but don’t bother, just get the OEM for your machine.

   According to the specifications this memory should have worked with my Dell Inspiron. It was either bad ram or improperly marked. I tried it in two different computers and it would not work at all and actually caused the computer to crash in both instances. I would not buy from them again.

   Item received in a plastic container with the seal cut. DIMM did not work.

   On February 15 I ordered 2 of 256Meg PC100 SDRAM Memory. On February 23 I received 1 of 256Meg PC133 Memory and had to pay $.91 postage due. I sent an email to Justin and he apologized and said he would “rush out the order first thing tomorrow”. On March 5 I again emailed that I had still not received the memory and did not receive a reply. Again on March 9 I emailed and again did not receive a reply. On March 11 I telephoned Justin and the phone was not answered. This is a bad reflection on Amazon as well.

   I ordered this memory stick, it arrived quickly, I plugged it in and it has worked flawlessly. Good quality.

   I just received my order from Puterpartz, Friday the 13th, haha! The 256MB memory stick I ordered works perfectly and looks nearly new as described. I am very pleased. My system is now humming at 639MB RAM. I placed the order on January 7th and did not have to contact the seller once about the order. I was hesitant in ordering since they had so few ratings but I took the chance based on the ratings they had received and I’m glad I did. I was going to buy from Tiger Direct but it would have cost me more to get two 128MB sticks for the price I paid for this 256MB stick, so I feel I got a great deal. I’d give them a perfect 10 if I could. I will certainly keep Puterpartz in mind if I need other computer items in the future.

   Save yourself some trouble and do not buy from faljal. The DIMM I received is only 128MB, but the $… price (incl. shipping) is appropriate for generic 256MB. It’s an older Hitachi module, and I was unable to find much info about it, except that it’s rated as standard grade, which is lowest. Faljal did not respond to any of my emails by which I attempted to fairly and amicably settle the grievance. The package the DIMM came in was a box that faljal recycled, so did not have a proper return address. Result: This warning to you, and a complaint to Amazon.

    This memory is very good. There is no reason you shouldn’t have 128mb of memory in each computer you have. This memory by Memory Upgrades is cheap and is standard based which means most people can use it. Make sure you check what type of memory your system accepts and how much is the maximum before you purchase any memory because some places dont let you return it if you opened the package of memory.

    I went to Circuit city and paid $98 for the same speed memory. Purchasing this item thru Amazon was simple and rewarding. It was easy to locate, it was easy to purchase, and once I received it, it was easy to install. My PC recognized the chip and I am very satisfied. In fact, I’m going to order another.

    Once I seated the memory module correctly, the system rebooted and recognized it as it was designed to do. The system immediately shows a remarkable improvement. The price was the least expensive of 5 online vendors that I checked. Overall, this was a great purchase.
