   EXTREMELY disappointed that this was not a single stick and was instead a kit containing 2-512MB sticks of memory. I verified the part number on this item listing with the sticker on the product I received…they match. The item I received is not the one advertised here. I had to give it one star…wish I could have given NO stars.

   My sister bought a cheap computer from a big box company with minimal ram. So after a year of adding new programs it was no wonder that computer needed more memory (it was running real slow). The PNY Optima went in with no difficulty and when she started her computer again she was amazed at the difference. Amazon had the memory module a the best price and quality. The PNY Optima arrived super fast.

   Excellent buy, about half of what it could be found for locally, shipped promptly in retail OEM packaging.

   This memory was exactly what I ordered, and worked perfectly. Of course PNY is one of the well known manufacturers of RAM. Their products also have a lifetime warranty. A word of warning. I’ve seen many reviews in which people indicate that what they ordered didn’t fit, or didn’t work properly. There are many different parameters of RAM, all of which must be exactly correct, for it to fit, and then work in your computer. Sometimes even if you get one that fits into your computer, it won’t work because it’s the wrong speed or otherwise incompatible. RAM comes in different “shapes”, speeds, SIMM, DIMM, and on and on. Because of this, it is VERY important that you go onto the website of the company that you are going to order from, and use their memory configurator, in which you enter the exact computer that you have, make, model, etc, and their system tells you exactly what RAM modules to buy for that computer. PNY was great b/c they had both their part number, and a retail part number. I took the retail part number and pasted it into Amazon, and it popped right up, I ordered it, and again, it worked perfectly. Unless you’re a computer tech, and you know exactly what you need, NEVER try to order RAM from anyone without using the RAM configurator on the website of the company that you intend on ordering from. If you don’t do this, buy at your own risk and expect it not to be the right one. If you do, you should get exactly what you need and be completely happy.

   Before buying this product my dell dimension 2400 was running extremely slow. Now that I have the product my computer is running a lot faster. It doesn’t cost a lot and it is very easy to install. This is what I would recommend to anyone who has the same problem that I had.

   I had a single PNY 2 gig stick in before and I replaced it with these two individual 1 gig sticks. Now my computer seems to run a little faster than with the single 2 gig stick. Don’t know why that is, but I’m not gonna complain!

   No complaints and no problems. Put this memory into a machine that was a couple years old. Added it to the memory that was in there actually and the computer runs great! No problems at all! Computer recognized it right off the bat and beyond that, the price is absolutely spectacular!!!

   It works the way it’s supposed too. The packaging was a little torn up, but the items were in quality condition.

   I was very happy with the whole proces. The Corsair 2GB chips arrived as scheduled and took little time to install on my old HP. It feels lile a new PC….what a difference.

    I’m very happy with this ram. I’ve never had a problem with it yet.

    good price for what you get, not the best speed for the currently available memories but very good for the money you pay

    I purchased this 2×2G memory kit to upgrade my PC.
    Installation was a snap, I just replaced my 2×500m with this pair and Windows XP recognized right away. I was thinking about buying a new computer, but with this memory upgrade along with a new 22 inch LCD monitor, it just became a new PC. I usually buy new PC every 3 years.
    With this upgrade, however, I will be using my 3 year old PC another year or two.

    It does what it should. Relatively slow memory at 667MHz, but more than enough for your primary computer. No hassles, easy to install (if you know what you’re doing), and I never had problems with Kingston’s customer service. A good deal at this price!
