It does the job as expected. No serious problems with installation although they are smaller than my prior ones so I had to be careful when installing. Lifetime warranty and decent price. Thanks Amazon!
From order to delivery to installation and use, I have been very satisfied with this transaction with Amazon. I rated the product 4 stars only because I don’t feel I have the expertise in dealing with computer memory to justify a 5 star rating.
It’s not the best. It’s not the fastest. It’s good enough.
Some people want the best things money can buy, so they will spend thousands of dollars in the best equipment: gold-plated cables, memory covered with enough metal to shield them from any electromagnetic interference, chassises made of weapon-grade titanium alloy. Some people need stuff that just works, and if it’s cheap, the better.
To upgrade the performance of a computer, there’s no better thing that invest in some memory. More RAM means the computer doesn’t have to access the hard disk that often, and memory is way faster than hdds. If you have 512M, get 1 or 2G and things will improve a lot. If you have 4G the machine will fly! And that’s usually the limit of the past generation computers, by the way. I’m happy with 1G, and my embeddable computers work very well with it. Just be careful when you get your memory, if it needs DDR2, get this, if you need DDR, keep looking.
This is a budget-grade memory. It does it’s job. It may be not as fast as premium-grade memory, but if that means you have to pay four of five times what this one costs, just so save fifteen seconds of processing time each day, well, thank you very much, I’ll get this one. It is slim, and it seems fragile. It is fragile, but you won’t use it in an application that requires a fault-free enviroment to work. This one will resist the usual conditions and tests, but if you will run intensive calculations, it will overheat. I can’t remember the last time I had to do intensive calculations in my computer, and I’m a geek that loves to rip and recode dvds to watch’em in my ipod. That’s not intensive nowadays. Reordering ten trillion records from a to z, that’s intensive.
So this thing will do the job, and do it well, and do it cheap. Get it. Unless, of course, you prefer to spend more money and get almost the same product, but gold-plated.
I’m naturally a bit wary of anything with “Value” in the name, but figured, “At this price, what the heck?” So, I bought a few. Works like a dream and really helped revive a couple old slow-pokes in my arsenal. Think I’ll buy a few more and double the RAM in all my PC’s.
For the record, these are still going for $75-80 at that store where they wear the tasteful blue polo shirts, so get ‘em now.
Great price for 4GB in 2 sticks. Shipped faster than estimated.
Works perfectly. No problems; good deal!
A friend from work bought a pair of these and found they were “incompatible” with his board. I snagged them up for $20, pleased with myself for finding such a good deal. HA!
One is straight up no good, won’t POST. Fails in every memory slot>
The other gets me through the BIOS but fails under load. Can’t get through installing Windows without page faults, memory dumps, or other general failures. An alternate stick proves it’s the memory and not the system. NOT advised.
Corsair is always known for it’s quality products and that’s why I buy them. I own their PSU which is awesome and I also own this RAM which is rock solid stable. I have my E6300 at a 62% overclock and it is perfectly stable. Passed Prime95/Intel Burn-in tests. Also you can’t beat the price with the mail-in rebate. I will always recommend Corsair products. Never had any fail on me.
Using them in an 18 month old gaming PC raised my Windows Vista performance index from 5.1 (limited by RAM speed) to 5.3 (limited by CPU- RAM performance is now 5.5). No issues with installation, auto detected just fine.
In game performance it raised World of Warcraft from 25 fps (1920×1080) in Dalaran up to 35-40 fps. Raiding (lots of aoe graphics) went from 40-45 fps in Naxxramas to 55-60fps.
Well worth the cost after rebate.

No problems at all with this product. Took 5 minutes to open the case and install. Computer runs a more faster now in my New ADM 64×2 6000+.
