   I work with RAW files in iPhoto and Aperture and found it was bogging my computer down. Moving from one file to the next was slow if I made any changes at all. I talked to Apple and they suggested boosting the ram. The Apple customer service person told me that Kingston was a good brand and that installing ram was the only thing she would suggest a consumer to do to their iMac. She said my 20″ (late 2006 white body desktop dual core) iMac will hold 4GB (2 in each of the two slots, but will only use 3GB. So I should order a 2GB and a 1GB. Why pay for 4 when it won’t use it? She also said it was ok to mix size as long as they matched each other otherwise. It took me while to find the right memory for my computer. I learned that my desktop actually takes memory that usually says “laptop” in the description. As long as it is 667MHz, DDR2, SoDimm unbuffered and for Apple computers it would work in my model. I learned from a reviewer on Amazon that Kingston makes two qualities and to get the KTA. I took all this advice and ordered from Amazon because I trust them and knew if there was a problem, it would be taken care of. Plus the price was good and FREE shipping is always nice. Some sites charge $6 or $7 for a tiny package. I got them both quickly, but a day apart for some reason. They are considerable smaller than PC versions.
   They were easy to install. I’ve installed memory in PC’s (never a Mac) before but I still I got instructions from the Apple website. I just unplugged everything, laid it down, and took off the middle grate on the bottom. Be sure to softly pad the surface you lay your computer face down on. I pulled the white clips and they both popped loose. Apple says you will “hear a click” when they seat, but you must have to be a dog to hear it. I did FEEL a little soft snap though. Just FYI, large bold print said “don’t use the security clips to seat memory”. I fired it up and it worked perfectly. I can tell a difference from the 1GB total to the 3 I now have. Especially when working in Aperture with raw files.

   I installed 2 RAMs on my white Macbook 2.4 GHz. It works like a charm. and nothing else matters.

   Couldn’t have asked for better service. When i couldn’t use the part Amazon’s return process was very expedient. Shipping was reimbursed and return shipping was taken care off. Could not ask for better service.

   My Macintosh programs we getting slow. Especially iPhoto and iMovie. Enter this product. I got a quote from the local Apple store to upgrade and it was really expensive (but they would install it for free). I patiently waited. I had to make sure that my two year old Mac was compatible. Once I had the product, it was a snap to order from Amazon….free shipping!
   The installation was easy and all it needed was a simple reboot. Now my memory-intensive programs run like a champ! I’m not very good with computer stuff, but to all of those DIY’ers out there, this is something that anybody can accomplish with having to pay excessive Apple prices. Thanks.

   My new tower had 6gb RAM (3 x 2gb and 2 x 1gb).

   I wanted to upgrade to 8gb RAM (4 x 2gb).

   Everytime I tried to replace the 1gb RAM with the
   2gb RAM, it would not allow me to boot the server.

   I am returning this defective hardware to the vendor.

   This product arrived as described and worked just fine. I used in a Dell Mini 9.

   Installed 2 of these memory modules on a duo core inspiron 6400 after checking out the manufacturers web site. Memory and laptop booted fine after installation and Xp(32bit) saw 3.25 gigs of ram which is the max you will see in any 32bit OS. Decided to test the memory using memtest86+ and it failed. To make sure it was the memory, tested on an identical inspiron that was running the same brand memory and it failed on that machine. Hence 2 bad sticks of memory. Memory manufacturers are getting sloppy with there testing. This will be my last Corsair memory purchase.

   This memory module was ordered for use in an eeepc running easypeasy. It was needed to facilitate viewing video from newscasts. The item had to be sent twice. The first module received was not recognized by my system. The second one worked upon its installation. Videos are now viewable with little interruption.

   The Amazon return policy and procedures was responsive, simple and effective. The second shipment was received in a few days after the first was reported as defective.

   Good product make my asus 1000he run faster and boot faster. Anyone buying an eee pc should consider this product. You can not beat the price.

    Bought this with the Asus (got the Crucial because it was recommended as fitting best) and installed it before using the netbook. I am not that computer savvy, but the installation was easy and quick. Works well. I could not have asked for more. I just wish there was some way to give the 1 GB that came with the netbook to someone who could use it!

    I replaced one of the two 1GB DIMMS my Dell Vostro 1400 came with. Put in one of this and powered on. Vista sees it as soon as reeboted and 3GB are now running on my sistem. A lot more info is now cached into the RAM waking up faster from sleep mode and giving a slight boost overall.
    Everest 5 reports my system still running on Dual Channel mode even with different size dimms.

    I bought this upgrade to give my EeePC 900HA a speed boost, and it certainly has done the trick, and it did it at an extremely low price. I couldn’t be happier with it.

    This memory is great, very inexpensive and also very easy to install, I have a Dell mini and haven’t had any problems with it.

    Anyone that knows anything about computers will tell you with today’s programs on your computer, more physical memory is a must. Check to see what you have and how much you can add and, chances are your computer will speed up to where it used to be. This PNY memory sure did the trick for my old Dell and the price was great on Amazon.

    Very happy with my purchase, this ram performs very well and I have not had any ram related issues since installing this ram. I went from 2 gigs to 4 and have noticed an excellent overall performance increase when using Vista and most recently the Windows 7 beta. Although I’ve never felt the need for heat sinks as I do not generally overclock my machines, the heat sink was a nice touch if only for cosmetic reasons I would recommend this product to a friend.

    This worked beautifully for me. I upgraded from just 1 gb to this set for 4 gb. It made quite a difference, my system running vista runs faster and a litte more smoothly. These modules are not the fastest on the market, but for the money they can’t be beat.

    It is what it says it is. The awesome part of buying this RAM was how insanely fast I got it; it seemed like I ordered it at night and it was here in the morning! That’s only a slight exaggeration, I really was shocked by how fast I got my order - thanks!

    I purchased this product to upgrade my MacBook Pro from 1GB due to now running VMware fusion. This was an easy upgade and my performance is great.
